DAUST undergraduate curriculum consists of both a sequence of courses that encompasses the full four years of a student’s time in the programs and an extensive set of related co-curricular activities. DAUST undergraduate curriculum is designed following the same standard as in top American universities such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), California Institute of Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and Stanford while putting significant emphasis on teaching laboratories. To ensure that its students are up-to-date and equipped with the latest trending sciences and technologies, DAUST also offers minor programs and concentrations in Data Science, Biomedical, Nanotechnology, Robotics, Materials, and Petroleum Engineering.
In addition to basic science courses, the first year curriculum consists of a series of thematic seminars and engineering design courses introducing incoming students to the fundamentals of the various Engineering fields as well as their respective career opportunities. In their last year, DAUST undergraduate students work on a year-long industry sponsored design project.
