At the Hackathon IA held at the Makerspace of ISEP Diamniadio, DAUST students distinguished themselves through innovation, teamwork, and purpose-driven solutions.

Organized by KPC Consortium Sénégal with support from KOICA, the three-day event brought together students to build AI solutions addressing local challenges. DAUST participants rose to the occasion, showcasing both strong technical skills and real-world impact.

Their  standout project, SENBEACON, is a smart mosquito trap that collects data, identifies species, and feeds dashboards for health authorities and citizens aiming for real-time disease surveillance across the country.

Through their creativity and execution, DAUST students once again proved they are at the forefront of building meaningful AI solutions for Senegal’s future.
